The Appalachian Arts Center is a 4000 square foot gallery, marketplace and educational resource, with handcrafted goods by local artisans. Open Tuesday - Saturday 12:00 - 5:30 pm. The Center is located on Rt. 19, 2 1/2 miles south of the intersection with Rt. 460 at Claypool Hill, or 2 1/2 miles north of Southwest Virginia Community College, just beyond the Wardell stoplight.
